Year 11 Students at Castle View Academy Celebrate GCSE Progress

This morning, students at Castle View Academy are celebrating as they receive their GCSE results. 

Across the board, results have improved on last year. Among those celebrating their results today are: 

• Alisa: with 9s in English Language, Maths, History, Science, Spanish, Russian, Art, Drama and 8 in English Literature;

• Bakhita: with 9s in English Language, Maths, Spanish, Music, 9-8 in Science, 8s in English Literature, Geography;

• Emilia: with 9s in English Language, Maths, Art, 8s in Geography, Science;

• Shabab:with 9s in Maths, Art, 9-8 in Science, 8s in Spanish, Design and Technology.

These GCSE results build on a year of strong progress at the school with Ofsted praising the school’s "ambitious curriculum" meaning that "the work pupils produce and the quality of their responses are of a high standard".

Congratulating students,Catherine Barker, Principal at Castle View Academy, said: 

“This is a very important day for all of our students receiving their results and I would like to congratulate them on their hard work and achievement. These results demonstrate the progress that is underway at Castle View and our ambition for each student. 

“I’d like to congratulate the entire cohort on their achievements, with our highest-performing students reflecting the very best of our school community. Alisa’s exceptional run of Grade 9s, alongside the outstanding achievements of Bakhita, Emilia and Shabab, demonstrates what can be accomplished through hard work, determinationand excellent teaching. 

“Our staff, students and families work well together at Castle View Academy and everyone celebrating today has had the backing of a strong team behind them. So,I’d like to thank staff and families for all the support, encouragement and guidance they have so willingly provided”.
