Take pride in your appearance

At Castle View Academy, students are encouraged to take pride in wearing their school uniform as it represents their commitment to the school’s values and community. The uniform is a symbol of unity and belonging, helping students feel part of something bigger than themselves. Taking pride in their appearance reflects respect for themselves, their peers, and the learning environment. It also sets a positive tone for behaviour and attitude, both in and out of the classroom. By wearing the uniform smartly and consistently, students show that they are ready to learn, contribute, and represent the academy with confidence and integrity.

   Wearing the same uniform helps reduce peer pressure and bullying related to clothing choices. It ensures that all students are seen as equals, regardless of background or financial status
2. Encourages a Sense of Belonging
   The uniform fosters school identity and pride, reminding students that they are part of a community. It helps build a sense of unity and shared purpose.
3. Supports Focus and Discipline
   A consistent dress code helps students focus on learning rather than fashion. It also encourages professionalism and discipline, preparing students for future workplaces.

   Uniforms make it easier to identify students on school grounds and during trips, improving security and accountability.

   With fewer fashion-related distractions, students can concentrate better in class and maintain a more academic atmosphere.

At Castle View Academy we expect you to look smart and wear the correct uniform at all 
times.

From September 2025, there will be a few small changes to the academy uniform:

• Grey trousers will be removed from the academy uniform and students will be expected to wear black trousers only.
• Students will be expected to wear a tie if wearing a shirt but do not need to wear a tie if they are wearing a revere collar blouse.
• Year 11 students will wear light blue shirts or blouses, and all other year groups will continue to wear white shirts or blouses.
