At Castle View Academy, students are encouraged to take pride in wearing their school uniform as it represents their commitment to the school’s values and community. The uniform is a symbol of unity and belonging, helping students feel part of something bigger than themselves. Taking pride in their appearance reflects respect for themselves, their peers, and the learning environment. It also sets a positive tone for behaviour and attitude, both in and out of the classroom. By wearing the uniform smartly and consistently, students show that they are ready to learn, contribute, and represent the academy with confidence and integrity.

Uniform Policy 2025-26

Uniform Changes September 2025

From September 2025, there will be a few small changes to the academy uniform:

Grey trousers will be removed from the academy uniform and students will be expected to wear black trousers only.
Students will be expected to wear a tie if wearing a shirt but do not need to wear a tie if they are wearing a revere collar blouse.
Year 11 students will wear light blue shirts or blouses, and all other year groups will continue to wear white shirts or blouses.

Seccond Hand Uniform

If you would like to obtain second-hand school uniform, The HIVE Portsmouth occasionally receives donations of Castle View Academy uniform and may be able to support families with suitable items.

Alternatively, Castle View Academy operates its own Uniform Cupboard within school. This allows students to borrow items of uniform they may be missing until replacements can be obtained. This helps ensure that all students are able to attend school each day wearing the correct uniform and are not disadvantaged while waiting for new items to be purchased.
