At Castle View Academy, Year 9 students begin choosing the subjects they will study in Years 10 and 11 as part of their GCSE pathway. This is an important stage in their education, and our aim is to ensure every student selects a balanced set of subjects that match their interests, strengths, and future aspirations.
Our Options process provides students and families with clear information about each subject, the skills gained, assessment methods, and possible progression routes. Alongside compulsory core subjects, students can explore a range of additional options designed to support different learning styles, career goals, and personal ambitions.
