Thank You And Goodbye Mr Down
The time has come to say farewell to our Principal, Mr Down, after 5 dedicated years. Mr Down joined Castle View Academy at the beginning of its journey and was instrumental in creating a welcoming and aspirational school. Mr Down has shown significant commitment to the Paulsgrove community over the past 5 years and has led the staff and students with integrity, fairness and care. Mr Down has always been firmly committed in the belief that every child deserves to excel and through his leadership at Castle View Academy, we have seen students achieve fantastic GCSE results, scholarships and have clear ambition for their own futures. Mr Down has developed relationships with our primary schools and has opened up the communication across the community. Mr Down’s insistence on developing great teachers and teaching has ensured that your child can learn in a disruption free, aspirational classroom and this was clearly recognised by Ofsted in our Summer 2022 inspection where we were rated ‘Good’ under his leadership. I know the staff and students at Castle View Academy will miss Mr Down, but we all wish him lots of luck in his new school and know that he will be a success.
