Last week, Year 7 students embodied one of the academy’s key values when they carried out an act of kindness. The students collected tinned, dried and packet foods for Paulsgrove Food Bank.
Year 7 Student Council representatives, Tia White, Kimberley Gillam, Mason Valentine and Nicole Kelsall presented the donations to David Aarons and Helen Gillam from Paulsgrove Foodbank.
Year 7 student, Nicole Kelsall, said: “We were really pleased to be able to donate to Paulsgrove Foodbank and support such a good local cause. Collecting the donations has made us all realise that there are many families less fortunate than ourselves and it has been good to be able to support them – particularly at this time of year.”
Liz Nutland at Castle View Academy, said: “As an academy committed to delivering an Education with Character, we recognise and instil in our students the importance of supporting and helping not only each other but also those in our local community. This is Year 7’s first act of kindness as a cohort and we will be looking to do more projects like this in the new year.”
