The Blue Zone - Building independence

Independent work is very important for students at Castle View Academy because it helps them grow into confident and capable learners. When students complete tasks on their own, they learn to take responsibility for their learning and develop a sense of pride in their achievements. It also encourages them to think critically and solve problems without relying on constant help from teachers. This kind of learning prepares them for future challenges in education and the workplace, where independence and self-motivation are essential.

Every lesson, the most challenging piece of work our students complete is within the The Blue Zone. Students work on this independently to build their knowledge and skills through stamina and determination. The Blue Zone task is written in a blue pen in written lessons or identified by a Blue Zone sticker in practical subjects.
