At Castle View Academy, the school day is structured to support learning, wellbeing, and a smooth daily routine. Here's a typical breakdown:
-
Start of the Day:
Students are expected to arrive on time and be ready for learning. The day begins with roll call and tutor time, which helps set a positive tone.
-
Lesson Times:
The school operates on a period-based timetable, with 4 lessons throughout the day. Each lesson is designed to be engaging and aligned with the national curriculum. Each day you will have different lessons and for each lesson, you will move classrooms. The timetable is made up of two weeks (Week A and Week B). You will be given a timetable, which will tell you what lesson you have and where it is.
-
Break and Lunch:
- Morning Break: A short break allows students to refresh and prepare for the next set of lessons.
- Lunch Break: Students can enjoy a healthy meal from the canteen or eat a packed lunch. This is also a time for socialising and participating in lunchtime clubs or activities.
