On Tuesday, 30^th October, students from all year groups at Castle View Academy were inspired to aim high and overcome any obstacles when they listened to a motivational talk by Paralympic silver medalist, Elizabeth Wright.

On 24th July 2018, former student Keiran O'Toole received a Diana Award for his ongoing work in anti-bullying.

Students at Castle View Academy (formerly King Richard School) are today celebrating their best ever GCSE results.  50% of students at Castle View Academy achieved A*-C grades (4 or above) in both English and maths; a significant increase on results from previous years.

The academy is equally delighted with the number of students achieving the government’s 5+ (B grade or above) threshold within English or maths.  In English, a record 48% of students surpassed the 5+ measure and in maths an impressive 30%.

Well done to the following students after spending an afternoon debating 3 other Portsmouth schools at Portsmouth University as part of the Unloc Youspeak Student Voice initiative. We lost 3 and won one which meant we did not win overall.

On Wednesday, 11 July, 4 students attended the Houses of Parliament to take part in the National Finals of the Big Ideas competition sponsored by Solutions for the Planet.
 

This weekend Bailey Neil and his Fleur De Lys side played in a champions of champions national tournament held in Nottingham.  There were 18 unbeaten teams there with 14 of those completing a treble winning season from various counties.
